Homegrown salad with homemade oil and vinegar top

If you’re anything like me, you will know that a homegrown salad with homemade oil and vinegar top any other meal on a hot summer day, or any day for that matter.

I also consider myself lucky to be living out on the countryside and have all the ingredients in my backyard. For orientation, my summer favorites, tomatoes and yellow bell peppers should be planted mid-May. But this week was kind of dear to my heart. Autumn kicked in and our garden unfortunately looked like house in the middle of weed flowers. But even those have their charm when you cut them down. A couple of bright red tomatoes and yellow bell peppers got their chance to shine through once the weeds were cut. Magical. And for some funny reason, my mouth only waters when I prepare salads of all kinds, so you can imagine that this one was gone in a heartbeat.

It is even a perfect and light option for when you have friends over and you wish to offer them a nice homegrown salad, and it goes well as a counterpart to meats.

Even if you make your own oil and vinegar, or dill pickles, bell peppers… personalized labels will doll up the bottles. Olive oil season is right around the corner, so look out for it and charm your buyers with head to toe new look of the product you’re most proud of.
